HVA and the Housatonic River Commission strongly support investing in the West Cornwall Wastewater Treatment Project for the health of the Housatonic River. See HVA’s letter below.

The Wastewater Treatment Project will also help conserve open space in Cornwall by utilizing already developed properties more intensively.

Norfolk, a town of about the same size and population as Cornwall, has had a sewer system for 100 years. It is time now for Cornwall to make a similar investment in wastewater treatment for the next 100 years. Don’t let our descendants wonder why in 2122 we didn’t make this investment in 2022 for the health of their future environment.

Support the West Cornwall Wastewater Treatment Project for the health of the river and the future of Cornwall’s environment and economy.
