No Mow May is a national campaign to let lawns grow in May so they can support bees and other pollinators who are a critical part of the food-web for birds and all other wildlife which in turn  bolsters biodiversity and environmental health. Partial lawns help too. If someone mows for you, consider paying as usual or tipping them to maintain their income. Search: No Mow May or Bee City USA for more information. Another growth spurt will come in July. Campaign signs are available from Karen Nelson at the Town Offices: “Please excuse the weeds they are feeding the bees”. Thanks to the Cornwall Conservation Commission for spreading the word.
