Let’s celebrate Cornwall Trails by assembling and then splitting up to walk our preserves and trails that spread out from Cornwall Village.

They are of varying difficulty:

• Furnace Brook (reclaimed fields and wetlands – easy mile)
• Ballyhack (forested pine and laurel ravine – moderate 1-2 miles)
• Foote-Pope (gently sloping field with classic valley views- half mile)
• Cathedral Pines (steep old forest – 1-2 miles)
• Hare (lumpy forest hike with enchanted streams and pond – moderate mile)

Bring a sandwich and something to share for lunch at noon. Leashed dogs welcome.

Start at the Foote Field Pavilion (and parking opposite 60 Furnace Brook Road, Cornwall, CT 06753).
