Erica and Hector Prud’homme enjoying the sun on Hector’s Cooley Preserve bench. July, 2016.

Hector Prud’homme ably served for 23 years on the Board of Directors of Cornwall Conservation Trust. He was president from 2003 until 2012. Hector successfully added over 600 acres to CCT’s conserved land during his tenure as president and over 1000 acres during his 23 years on the board of directors.

Hector was a passionate conservationist and accomplished so much by speaking tactfully and always being correct on the facts. He was a key leader in preserving forests and farmland and other natural resources in Cornwall, Connecticut and the Northwest Corner. He mentored and sagely advised many individuals, boards and committees. Hector’s conservation work has benefited all of us and his conservation legacy will benefit generations to come.
